Identification
As with any species of deer, there will always be considerable variation of the phenotype.
In the categories below, we have outlined some of the traits we have observed with our Dybowski Sika deer over 25 years.

The four basic characteristics of our Sika Deer are outlined in the above pictures. Our Pure Dybowski Sika have all these phenotype charactistics:
- orange velvet with no bez tine, black markings around the tail, spotted coat in summer and rounded ears.
